Flying with doors off

Seat and headphones

Oct. 1, 2006
12 hours under my belt. I control all duration of flight. Pick up's and landings. Only time my CFI takes controls is when he is demonstrating a new maneuver.

Air speed indicator, vertical speed indicator, altimeter, so on and so on....

Cyclic, shaped in a T for dual control. I control from the right seat and my CFI sits in the left seat. (Certified Flight Instructor) Pedals control the yaw of the nose, the collective is held with my left hand which controls the throttle and altitude by raising and lowering.

Sacramento Silver State Helicopter ramp. We have about 8 operating helicopters and I have flown them all now.

Oct. 1
It was an amazing morning, after one traffic pattern the fog on the bubble was all cleared up.

The R-22 weighs 1370 lbs. Before each flight I calculate my instructors weight, my weight, along with the amount of fuel we will use, temperature, wind direction, wind speed and density altitude.

I will be flying these four seater Helicopters for my IFR training. (Istrument Flight Rules)
